Analyse your backlinks and link profile

Review referring domains, important backlinks, anchor text and new, lost or broken links. Authority and spam scores are comparison signals, not Google metrics.

What the backlink analysis checks

The backlink analysis maps a domain’s link profile. Counts and scores help compare periods or competitors, but they are not Google figures or assessments.

How the link profile is built

01You enter your domain.
02We pull your backlink profile from a professional link database.
03You get your authority, your strongest links and the signals that need attention.

What the backlink report contains

Per part: what it is, and what you get out of it. Authority and spam score are comparison signals for putting periods or competitors side by side, not figures from Google.

Domain authority, 0 to 1000

One number for the strength of your link profile. Useful for holding your previous measurement or a competitor beside you; it is not a Google rating.

Referring domains and total links

How many different sites link to you, and how many links that adds up to. One site linking ten times is still one voice, and you can see that difference here.

Your strongest links

The referring domains with the highest authority of their own, with the number of links each sends you. So you know who actually carries weight for you.

The link gap with your competitor

Set a competitor with a website on your project, and the report shows which domains link to them and not to you yet: the warmest candidates to reach out to.

The words they link you with

The anchor texts, ranked by how many domains use them. A strong site that calls you "here" hands you less than one that names what you do.

The nofollow share

Which share of your referring domains explicitly passes no signal. Those links still bring visitors, but they count differently for your findability.

The spam score of your profile

A health signal about the sites that link to you. Above thirty it is worth a look, not a fright.

Broken backlinks

Links from outside that land on a dead page of yours. That is value you already earned leaking away; a redirect puts it back to work.

A link profile does not stand still. The report shows month by month what arrived and what fell away, with the domains and the words. Losing links is normal; losing more than you gain is the signal.

Questions about backlinks

What exactly is domain authority?

An estimate of how much authority your domain has, on a scale of 0 to 1000. It is not a figure from Google itself and it appears nowhere in their algorithm. It is a comparison measure: useful for holding yourself up against your competitor, pointless as a goal in itself.

How many backlinks do I need?

There is no target number. One link from a site that carries weight in your field outweighs a hundred links from random directories. This scan therefore shows not just how many domains link to you, but which ones.

I have a high spam score, do I need to do something now?

Usually not right away. Google simply ignores most junk links. First check which domains are involved: if it is a handful of odd sites, that is rarely a problem. Cleaning up only makes sense once there is a pattern of bought or hacked links.

What are broken backlinks and why do they matter?

Links from other sites that point to a page that no longer exists. With a suitable redirect, a visitor can still land on a relevant page. Always check first that the old and new page match in content.
