Analytics connection FAQs
What do I need to connect?
A Google account with access to a Google Analytics property of your website. You sign in with Google in your FlowCore console, choose which property belongs to which project, and you are done. Do not have Analytics yet? We are happy to set it up for you.
I already look at Google Analytics itself. What does this add?
Three things. Your history keeps growing with us beyond the fourteen months Google retains at most. Every screen states that the figures only count visitors who gave consent, so you never read a dip in consent as a dip in visitors. And your visitor figures sit next to your positions, your speed and your scans, so a drop immediately gets a possible cause.
Can FlowCore change anything about my Analytics or my website?
No. The connection only requests read rights: we fetch figures and write nothing back. You can revoke access at any time, in your FlowCore console or directly in your Google account.
Are these figures complete?
No, and we say so on every screen that shows them. Google Analytics only counts visitors who accepted statistics cookies, so the real numbers are higher. Google also withholds rows with few visitors for privacy reasons, which means small numbers can be missing.
What happens if I disconnect the connection?
Then the access disappears and we also delete the daily figures we kept for you. We say so before you confirm, not after. You can always reconnect, but the history then starts over from scratch.
