What a result looks like

Every finding says what is going on and what it is based on. No number without an explanation.

  • You rank #4 in the organic results.
  • 12 map results sit above the organic list.
  • A competitor owns the featured snippet.

Example findings for illustration. Your own result depends on your website and your market.

Frequently asked questions

Why one keyword instead of a whole list?

Because this is the deep view. A list tells you your position; this analysis shows the whole playing field for that one term: who sits above you, which blocks Google displays, and how much room is left for an ordinary search result.

What is on a results page these days?

Far more than ten blue links. Depending on the query Google shows an AI answer, a featured snippet, map results, ads, videos and the questions people also ask. Every one of those blocks pushes the first ordinary result further down.

What if I am not in the top 10?

That is an answer in itself, and you get to see who is. It is often more useful to spot which kind of page Google rewards there: a shop page, an article or a comparison site each call for a different answer from you.

Do results differ by location or device?

Yes. Google does not show the same thing everywhere, certainly not for searches with local intent. We measure for the market you are searching in, so the picture matches what your customers actually see.
